It said the next Friday’s sermons will aim to counter those who distort the Quran and misinterpret it for their own ideological and political purposes, the Ekhbar Misr website reported.
The ministry added that the Muslim Ummah should learn the concepts of the Quran from reliable Islamic experts and scholars.

It also underlined the contemporary world’s need to the guidance of the Quran, saying that today’s crisis in the world is a moral one and that there is no other book that invites humanity to moral and ethical virtues and values like the Quran.
The Egyptian Awqaf ministry went on to say that Muslims’ biggest mistake today is getting away from Quranic morality and, therefore, its biggest responsibility is returning to Quranic morality.
