He made the remark while speaking at a convention organized by United Forum for Quranic Studies in connection with Quran recitation competition at Auto Nagar Technicians Hall in Vijayawada on Sunday.

The competition saw 300 children participating in the preliminary round. After short-listing, 30 of them were qualified to participate in the final round.The finalists were categorised into professional (children from Madarasas or Urdu schools) and non-professional (children from normal schools).
Prizes were given to the students in professional and non-professional category. The winners of both categories were given cash prizes of Rs 30,000, Rs 20,000 and Rs 10,000 respectively. Besides, the forum also awarded the 300 semifinalists with cash prize of Rs 500, merit certificate and copy of Quran to the children.
