According to Al-Sharq website, the Quranic Sciences Section affiliated to the Office for Religious Dissemination and Guidance of Qatar’s Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs will organize the annual competition in cooperation with the country’s Ministry of Education.
Seyyed Muhammad Ya’qoub Al-Ali, the director of the office said that the competition have been welcomed by the students of different schools of the country for more than 50 years. The last year’s competition was attended by representatives of 332 schools and students of 340 schools will participate in this year’s event.
The two-week competition will include two categories of memorization of Surah Al-Fajr to Surah Al-Shura and memorization of 7 to 30 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.

The competition for boys will be held in Ain Khalid district of Doha and the girls will compete at the Quran and Islamic Dissemination Center of Bint Muhammad Museum in Al-Wa’ab district of the city.
