Quranic Course for Teenagers Underway in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – An educational Quranic course titled “Uswah” (role model) has been organized for teenagers at the holy shrine of Imam Ali (AS) in Najaf, Iraq.

The course began on February 18 with the participation of 38 young Quran reciters in Najaf and will continue in the holy cities of Karbala and Kazemayn.

Quran recitation principles including Tajweed, Sowt, Lahn, Waqf and Ibtida as well as supplications and Quranic life-style are among the themes of the course.

Various Quran reading sessions have been held on the sidelines of the program, in which teenage Qaris from Iran recited verses from the Holy Quran.

Two top Iraqi Qaris also participated in the session held on February 19 and the young Iranian Quran reciters were honored by the Alawiyah Dar-ol-Quran Al-Karim.

The fourth edition of the Quranic course will conclude on February 26.
