ISIL Terrorists Plant Bombs in Qurans
Col Warren, a British army commander, said the terrorist group is booby-trapping areas in Iraq that they have been forced out of in desperation.
"These guys are disgusting, they have left bombs in refrigerators,” he said, speaking at the British Foreign Office in London.
The ISIL terrorists have even put bombs inside the Holy Quran, he said. "We found that on several occasions in Ramadi (Iraq).”
The Takfiri extremists have resorted to conscription and forcing children to become soldiers after a well of international volunteers dried up.
"We have seen an increase in the number of child soldiers, which is particularly concerning,” Warren said.
The ISIL terrorists made swift advances in much of northern and western Iraq, including Ramadi, over the summer of 2014, after capturing large swaths of northern Syria.
However, a combination of concentrated attacks by the Iraqi military and the volunteer forces, who rushed to take arms after top Iraqi cleric Ayatollah Ali al-Sistani issued a fatwa calling for fight against the militants, blunted the edge of the ISIL offensive.
In recent months, the Iraqi army and the country’s volunteer forces have made major advances against ISIL, forcing the terrorists out of many areas they had captured in 2014.
