According to alwatanvoice.com, the Dar-ol-Quran and Sunnah of Gaza organized the event in which 76 male and female Quran memorizers of the region were honored.
Hundreds of the participants at the Quranic plan who succeeded to memorize different parts of Quran in 2015 were also honored in the ceremony.
The "Al-Shafi’” plan is one of the Quranic projects of the International Council for Islamic Charity implemented in cooperation with Kuwait’s Al-Rahma World Association.
Disseminating the memorization of the Holy Quran’s verses in different countries is the main objective of the plan.
Walid Al-Anjari, head of the Palestinian Office in the association said that "we will raise a liberating generation with Quran and Sunnah”.
He highlighted the role of the association in the organization of the plan in Gaza in 2005 and expressed hope that the next edition will be implemented in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Also speaking at the ceremony, Abdul Rahman Al-Jamal, head of the Dar-ol-Quran thanked the association and lauded the plan which helps Quran activists to memorize the entire Quran within three years.
He said that since the beginning of the plan in Gaza, 900 Quran students have succeeded to memorize the entire Quran.
Ahmad Sharaf, representative of the association in Gaza also addressed the ceremony and stressed the necessity of developing the Quranic plan in the region.
The International Council for Islamic Charity is based in Kuwait and headed by Abdullah Al-Ma’touq, advisor to the Amir of Kuwait.
