TEHRAN (IQNA) – An international conference on “Interfaith Dialogue and Fighting against Terrorism” started in Astana, Kazakhstan, on May 30.

The two-day conference is part of the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.

It has been attended by officials and representatives from different countries.

Qahreman Soleimani, who is in charge of the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization’s (ICRO) Center for Dialogue among Religions and Civilizations, is representing Iran in the conference.

The Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is an annual event held in Astana.

Last year, the theme of the conference was "Dialogue of Religious Leaders and Politicians in the Name of Peace and Development”.
