Int’l Quran, Etrat Expo to Open in Mashhad

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 11th edition of the international Quran and Etrat exhibition of Mashhad will be launched in the northeastern Iranian city on Thursday.

According to Hojat-ol-Islam Mohammad Taqi Kazeminasab, Quran and Etrat deputy of the culture and Islamic guidance department in Khorasan Razavi province, the expo will be inaugurated in an official ceremony.

He told IQNA that this year’s exhibition will have 24 sections, including Quranic publishers, Quranic arts, children and teenagers, Quran interpretation and contemplating the Quran.

The official added that grassroots and governmental institutes will showcase their Quranic activities and achievements in 700 pavilions at the expo.

Also, 90 publishers from across the country will showcase their latest Quranic books.

Mounted on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the exhibition will run until June 22.

It will welcome visitors every day from 6 PM to 11 PM.

Every year during Ramadan, various Quranic activities, including Quran recitation sessions and exhibitions are held across Iran to promote the Quranic teachings and culture in society.
