TEHRAN (IQNA) – An annual Quran competition for Yemeni women has been underway since June 14 in Ibb Governorate of the Arab country.

According to yemenakhbar website, the Charity Institute of Imam Bihani has organized the competition, which will continue until the 15th of the holy month of Ramadan (June 21).

More than 1000 Quran students of the province’s different Quran memorization centers have participated in the contest. 

Sheikh Khalil Rashidi, director of the institute said that the participants are competing in memorization of 5, 10, 20 and 30 Juzes (parts) of the Quran.

"Al-Hikmah”and "Ihsan” charity associations, "Ma’adh” Scientific Association for Quran Memorization, "Al-Fadhilah” Center for Quran Memorization, "Ruqayyah” Center, and "Al-Safwah” Institute have representatives in the competition.
