482,000 Qurans Printed in Iran in Past 3 Months
TEHRAN (IQNA) – An official with Iran’s Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization said some 482,000 copies of the Quran have been printed in the country in the first three months of the current Iranian year March 21- June 20).
Azizollah Mortazavi told IQNA these copies were published based on 57 permissions issued by the organization.
He said that in the same period last year, over 789,000 copies of the Quran had been printed, which shows there is a reduction of the number this year.
The Dar-ol-Quran Karim Organization is responsible for giving permission and monitoring the printing and publication of the Quran in the country.
Every year, thousands of Quran copies are printed and sold in Iran.
