
According to Al-Anba newspaper, Ali Al-Rashid, deputy of the head of the association’s office in Cambodia and the Philippines, said that the main objective of the competition was to disseminate Islamic virtues and provide an opportunity for the students and teachers to get acquainted with Quranic concepts and teachings.
He added that learning the Quran plays an important role in getting a better understanding of true Islam.
The teachers and students competed in three categories of the competition in two sections, one for men and the other for women.
Al-Rahma Association is affiliated to Kuwait’s Islamic
Society for Social Reform.
It previously implemented a Quranic plan titled "We Revive Their Hearts with Quran” in Cambodia to teach the Holy Quran and Islamic sciences to more than 1000 students.
