Quran Memorization Competition Underway for Omani Girls and Women
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The 4th edition of a national Quran memorization competition for female memorizers of the Holy Quran has been organized in Oman.
According to elwehda newspaper, the final stage of this edition of the competition is underway under the supervision of Women’s Guidance Office affiliated to the Arab country's Ministry of Awqaf (endowments) and Religious Affairs.
Girls and women from different cities of Oman, including Bidbid, Samail, and Muscat, have taken part in the competition.
Hannan bint Hamid Al-Siabiya, supervisor of the Quranic event, said that it has been held with the participation of more than 100 memorizers of the Quran.
Memorization and Tajweed principles of 12 Juzes (parts) and memorization of 2 Juzes of Quran are the categories of the competition.
