Hezbollah to Hold Quranic Courses in Lebanon

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quranic association affiliated to the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement Hezbollah plans to hold 25 summer Quran memorization courses for children and teenagers in different parts of the Arab country.

According to Qaaf news agency, the "Irshad wa Tawjih” (guidance and counselling) Association will organize the courses for 9 to 15 year-old girls and boys.

Hussein Hamdan, head of the Quran memorization section of the association, said that by memorizing five pages a week, the participants will learn two Juzes (parts) of the Quran by heart.

He said more than 200 girls and boys have registered for the educational program.

Hamdan added that the courses will be organized in Beirut, Sur, Baalbek, Nabatieh and Hermel. Each of the regions will host five courses with 10 to 15 students in every class.

Similar Quran memorization plans have been implemented in Lebanon by the association since 2004.
