Quran Competition for Women Planned in Iraq

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Dar-ol-Quran of Imam Hussein’s (AS) holy shrine plans to hold a Quran memorization competition for women in Wasit Province of Iraq.

According to Qaaf news agency, the competition will be organized in cooperation with the Union of Quran Activists of the province on the occasion of Muharram (the first month of the Islamic calendar).

Meytham Al-Tammar Huseiniya (public hall for religious ceremonies) in Al-Ahrar region will host the competition on the 25th of the month (October 27).

The participants will compete in the memorization of Surah Maryam and top five Quran memorizers will be awarded.
