TEHRAN (IQNA) – In pursuance of the mission to integrate academic excellence with the Quranic knowledge, recently, Pakistan International School Jeddah — English Section (PISJ-ES) held an annual Quran Recitation Competition in the school auditorium.

School Honors Quran Recitation Winners

The young reciters from Y1 to Y8 participated in the competition and mesmerized the audience with their recitation with "Tajweed and Makharij.”

The program formally began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. Then finalists from each class recited the given verses.

School principal Adnan Nasir said: "The Holy Quran provides us the complete code of life. Its revelation on Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) determines that it has the guidance for the entire humanity regardless of religion, creed and caste until the end of this world.”

Emphasizing the significance of reading and understanding the Holy Quran, he said this competition doesn’t merely mean to categorize the students according to their skillful recitation, but the main aim is to make our students realize that the holy book must guide us not only during trials and tribulations but also during the times of bliss and blessings, Arab News reported.

The program concluded with the distribution of trophies, gift hampers and certificates to the winners.
