According to vetogate.com website, Hassan Sulleiman, head of the Quran TV, said the TV channel has special programs for Ramadan.
He referred to "With the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in Ramadan”, "Surah al-Waqea in Ramadan”, and "Give Good Tidings to Those who Fast” as the titles of some of the programs.
Sulleiman added that there will also be beautiful recitations of the Quran that will be broadcast for the first time.
Ramadan, the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, starts on May 27 this year.
During Ramadan, Muslims fast as an effective way of practicing self-discipline. They are also expected to strengthen their character through self-restraint, charitable-giving and introspection.
Reading and contemplating the Holy Quran is also a major activity for Muslims during the holy month.
