Promoting Quranic Culture to Prevent Spread of Daesh Ideology

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A senior Iranian Quran teacher underlined that promotion of the Quranic culture will help prevent the spread of Takfiri ideology in the Muslim world.

Jahanbakhsh Faraji said when people are acquainted with the Quran and its culture, groups like Daesh (ISIL or ISIS) would not be created in the Muslim world because people reach an understanding where there would be no room for violence and hatred.

Speaking to Fars, he also called for developing programs for training Quran memorizers and reciters.

He said investment in Quranic fields is the best kind of investment because Qaris and Quran memorizers are the best assets for society.

Faraji also described Quran recitation as an art that can help to promote unity and spread the message of Islam.
