Malaysian Quranic Figure Passes Away
TEHRAN (IQNA) – Sheikh Hassan Azhari, a prominent Malaysian Quran master, has died, a Quranic figure from Indonesia told IQNA.
Aqil Hussein Munawwar said Azhari said that Azhari has recently died in the southeast Asian country.
He said Azhari was an eminent Quran master who served the Quran in Malaysia, Indonesia and other Islamic countries for years.
Munawwar noted that Azhari served as a member of the panel of judges in Malaysia’s international Quran competition several times.
He extended condolences to the Quranic community of Malaysia over the death of the Quranic figure.
