Iran’s Awqaf Organization Condoles Death of Malaysian Quranic Figure
TEHRAN (IQNA) – The Quranic Affairs Center of Iran’s Awqaf and Charity Affairs Center expressed condolences over the death of a prominent Malaysian Quran master Sheikh Hassan Azhari.
In a message delivered by Iran’s Foreign Ministry, the center expressed condolences to the family of Sheikh Azhari, Malaysia’s Quranic community and the Muslim world’s Quran reciters and memorizers.
Azhari was an eminent Quran master who served the Quran in Malaysia, Indonesia and other Islamic countries for years.
He served as a member of the panel of judges in Malaysia’s international Quran competition several times.
