TEHRAN (IQNA) – As many as 60 new Quran memorization centers will be opened in Jordan’s North Region Governorate in the near future.


According to Al-Haqiqah Al-Dowaliyyah website, Abdulqadir Al-Umari, director of Awqaf Office of the region, said that the specialized Quranic centers will be opened at the mosques of the governorate.

The centers, 30 for boys and 30 for girls, will start their activities in the summer under the supervision of skillful Quran teachers and experts, he said.

He invited the youth of the region to register for the Quran memorization courses to be held at the centers.

The official noted that the courses will be free and the students will receive certificates at the end.

Jordan is an Arab nation on the east bank of the Jordan River in West Asia. It is a majority Muslim country with more than 95% of the population following Islam.
