Mobile App for Call to Prayer Developed in Kazakhstan

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A computer engineer in Kazakhstan has developed a mobile app for Adhan (call to prayer) and locating Qibla direction (direction to face for Muslims during their daily prayers).

 

According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Kazakhstan, Almaz Adel Beig has developed the application called “Sajdah”.

It has attracted more than 850000 users in Germany, France and Indonesia, 80 percent of whom are Kazakh people.

The app developer is a graduate student of Suleyman Demirel University. He says he made the app for his personal use but then decided to share it with other Muslims.

Suleyman Demirel University is a private university in Kaskelen, Almaty, Kazakhstan.
