Quran Competition Held in Kazakhstan
TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran memorization and recitation competition titled “Quran, A Mercy for You” was recently held in Qastana Province of Kazakhstan.
According to the Iranian Cultural Center in Kazakhstan, it was held at Tamiz Yazov town of Sarikol region on the 7th anniversary of the establishment of Umar Ata mosque of the region.
The opening ceremony of the competition was addressed by Darkhan Sizdiqov, imam of “Maral Ishan” mosque, who stressed the importance of the Quranic event.
Alman Aldiar Oula, Moddat Bakht Oula and AibekAmanqali Oua respectively won the first to the third ranks in the recitation category.
The winners in the memorization category were Abai Qoulanbayev, Bekboulat Qairat Oula and Maqsad Abai Oula.
The organizers of the contest were also honored by the Office for Kazakhstan Muslims’ Affairs.
