Iran Nat’l Quran Contest for Students: Winners Awarded

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Iran’s 34th national Quran competition for university students wrapped up in a ceremony in the southern city of Shiraz on Thursday.

 

Winners of different categories of the contest were awarded at the ceremony, held at the Shah Cheragh mausoleum with a number of religious, Quranic and academic officials in attendance.

The final round of the competition was hosted by the Islamic Azad University of Shiraz on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The preliminary round had been held at universities and academic centers across the country over a few months and some 1,200 of the top partisans had made it to the final stage.

Recitation and memorization of the Quran, Adhan (call to prayer), Tawasheeh, prayer recitation, arts, literature and Islamic teaching were among the categories of the contest.
