Quranic Course Held in Uganda
According to the Islamic Culture and Relations Organization, Al-Mustafa International University’s branch in Kampala held the educational program in cooperation with the Iranian Cultural Center in the African country.
The five-day course was held at the Islamic Faculty of the university for graduate seminary students.
Hussein Asadi, Zarean, Malik Kiando and Adam Sabila taught “skills of teaching Quran”, “directing Dar-ol-Quran centers”, “skills of teaching and guidance”and “new skills of dissemination”.
The opening ceremony of the course was attended by Hojat-ol-Islam Dehghani, dean of the faculty, some religious and academic figures such as deputy of Uganda’s Mufti, Abedi, member of the scientific board and teacher of Kampala University, head of Kajjansi Council, Iranian cultural attaché in Uganda and some of the Iranians residing in the city.
Addressing the program, Mohammadreza Ghezelsofla, the Iranian cultural attaché, talked about the role of preachers in development of Islamic societies, Muslims awareness and presenting a true image of Islamic culture and teachings.
He said that Islam is a complete and comprehensive religion which aims to guide and train human beings and establish a society based on justice.
