TEHRAN (IQNA) – A video-conference meeting is planned to be held to discuss the role of “The Culture of International Quds Day in Countering Normalization of Ties with the Zionist Regime”.

The Iranian Cultural Center in Beirut, Lebanon, plans to organize the event on Thursday in cooperation with the Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity and the Arab Parties Conference.

Chairman of the International Union of Resistance Scholars in Lebanon Sheikh Maher Hammoud, Arab Center for Communication and Solidarity Chief Maen Bashour, Secretary General of the Arab Parties Conference Qassem Saleh, Palestinian author and researcher Tayseer al-Khatib, and Iranian Cultural Attaché in Lebanon Abbas Khameyar will address the online conference.

It will start at 2 PM Beirut Time on Thursday and can be watched via Zoom (here).

The International Quds Day is a legacy of the late founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini, who designated the day in solidarity with Palestinians.

Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, the International Quds Day has been held worldwide on the last Friday of the Muslim fasting month of Ramadan.

This year, the International Quds Day falls on Friday, May 22.
