500 Compete in Iran Police Force Quran Contest

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The final stage of 25th edition of the Iranian Police Force’s Quran competition will kick off on Tuesday.

 

Colonel Ramezan Ali Rud Moqaddas, head of the force’s Quran, Etrat and Prayer Department, told IQNA that more than 500 of the force’s personnel and conscripts will take part in the contest.

He said it will be held in different categories, including Quran recitation and memorization, Quranic concepts, and Adhan (call to prayers) recitation.

According to the official, more than 6,000 Police Force members attended in the preliminary stage of the competition.

Winners will be announced on Thursday, Colonel Rud Moqaddas noted. Adding that the winners will represent the Police Force in the Aramed Forces’ Quran contest.
