The meeting was held in attendance of other officials including Iranian envoy to Lebanon Mohammad Jalal Firuznia and sides conferred on the latest political developments in Lebanon and the region, according to IRNA.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed Iran’s unwavering support for Lebanon in all fields.
For his part, Nasrallah thanked the Islamic Republic of Iran for standing beside the Lebanese government and people in the past decades.
“Iran has proven that it is an honest ally and a loyal friend who will not leave friends alone in hard conditions,” said Hezbollah chief.
He also hoped that Lebanon could overcome current problems with cooperation of all sides.
Amir-Abdollahian arrived in the Lebanese capital of Beirut in late Wednesday in his first visit to the country as a foreign minister. He has held separate meetings with Lebanese officials including President Michel Aoun, Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Najib Mikati, and Foreign Minister Abdallah Bou Habib.
The Iranian delegation has highlighted Tehran’s readiness to help Beirut in various fields.
