Lahore Hosts Rahmatan lil-Alamin Conference

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A conference named “Rahmatan lil-Alamin” (a mercy to all creation) was held in Lahore, Pakistan, on the occasion of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) birthday and the Islamic Unity Week.

 

A number of Pakistani statesmen as well as religious figures and representatives from Christian, Sick and Hindu religious minorities attended the event.

There were also representatives from Muslim countries like Iran, Yemen, Afghanistan and Tunisia as well as a number of Western countries.

Iranian cultural official in Lahore Jafar Ronas was among the participants.

Role of mosques, schools, religious centers and Muslim scholars in promoting unity in light of the Holy Prophet’s teachings was among the themes of the conference.

The Pakistani Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony annually organizes the conference to promote the teachings and Seerah of the last messenger of God.
