TEHRAN (IQNA) – Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, while referring to the mixing of the blood of the fighters of the al-Nujaba Movement and the Christians during the fight against terrorism on Syrian soil, gave details of the background of the political-propaganda offensive against the Islamic Resistance.

According to the Communication and Media Affairs Centre of al-‎Nujaba in Iran‎, Hujjat al-Islam Akram al-Kaabi, the secretary-general of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement, spoke via Skype at the “Religion and the World, Dialogue of Religions and Cultures in the New World” conference organized by the World Christian Union in Russia.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi emphasized the centrality of human beings – of any colour and race – as a common element in all religions and said, “In the Iraqi Islamic Resistance, we have learned from our great saints, the Messenger of God (s) and Imam Ali (a), the moral virtues, the necessity of the rule of justice, standing against oppression, kindness to orphans and benevolence with one’s neighbours, even if our religion and thoughts are not the same.”

Criticizing the conspiracies to misrepresent Islam and paint a harsh and bloodthirsty picture of Muslims, he said, “We are the children of al-Nujaba. This movement is based on the belief in the ugliness of oppression and the need to help the oppressed until justice pervades. To this end, we took action to help and save the oppressed people of Syria, regardless of their race, colour or religion. There is not a single centimetre of Syrian territory that does not contain any trace of the activity of al-Nujaba.”

The secretary-general of al-Nujaba then addressed the joint project of the United States, Israel and their mercenary regimes in the region to divide Iraq through Takfiri terrorism and said, “The sons of the nation revolted with the fatwa of the leader of the Iraqi Shi’ahs (Grand Ayatollah al-Sistani) and the Popular Mobilization Forces was formed to fight against the enemies.”

Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi continued, “The fighters of the al-Nujaba Movement, the pioneers of the self-sacrificing forces, also sacrificed their lives in the fight against the evil invaders. The areas first targeted by terrorist elements were inhabited by Christian and Yazidi minorities but we defended ourselves from a human point of view, regardless of the difference in religion, and our blood was shed with the blood of Christians and other religious minorities.”

He condemned the full-scale attack, which was carried out by the Americans and the Zionists, and the money laundering of the Arab regimes on the shores of the Persian Gulf, citing the failure of the enemies’ criminal plans in the region.

The secretary-general of the al-Nujaba Islamic Resistance Movement stated in this regard, “We are the ones who deny our faces in the eyes of the media and public opinion, our destruction and our victories over the forces of darkness. We are the ones standing in the trenches to ward off the threat of the Takfiris, while the fighters of the occupying American army are bombing us. With all the wealth we have under our feet, our cities are still suffering from poverty and hunger because the United States and its allies do not want our economy to take shape and power plants to be built in our country.”

At the end of his speech on Skype, Hujjat al-Islam al-Kaabi addressed the participants in the conference and said, “Dear ones! We are proud to be part of your honourable coalition; A coalition in which the world’s great personalities are present. I am very glad that the voice of Iraq is heard among you, and I hope that its echo will take root in your hearts before it reaches your ears.”
