Nigerian Quranic Institute Says Ready to Expand Coop. with Iran

TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quranic institute in Nigeria has expressed readiness to boost cooperation with Iranian organizations in religious and Quranic fields.

 

Iranian cultural attaché in Abuja Majid Kamrani hosted Omar Ghorba Ibrahim, Head of Al-Ahfad Institute to discuss ways to expand religious and Quranic cooperation.

Describing the Holy Quran as the main pillar of all Islamic madhhabs, Kamrani said that Quranic diplomacy can pave the ground for dialogue.

He said that the Iranian cultural center is ready to carry out joint activities aimed at promoting the Quran and Ahl al Bayt (AS).

The envoy also called for participation experts, qaris, and memorizers of Al-Ahfad Institute in various international conferences, festivals, and competitions in Iran.

For his part, Ibrahim briefed on the activities and capacities of the Quranic center which offers services in Gombe State.

Pointing to the participation of two qaris from the institute at Iran’s 38th International Quran Competition, the Nigerian activist said this was a clear example of cooperation between Al-Ahfad Institute and the Iranian cultural office.
