Programs at Imam Reza (AS) Holy Shrine to Mark Sha’aban Eids

TEHRAN (IQNA) – The holy mausoleum of Imam Reza (AS) in Mashhad, northeast Iran, will host programs in the coming days to celebrate the auspicious Eids of the lunar Hijri month of Sha’aban.

Every year, various ceremonies are organized in different parts of the world on the birthday anniversary of Imam Hussein (AS), Hazrat Abbas (AS) and Imam Sajjad (AS), which fall on the 3^rd, 4^th and 5th of Sha’aban (March 6, 7 and 8) this year.

Muslims also celebrate the 15th day of the month (March 18, this year) which is the birthday anniversary of the 12th infallible Imam (may God hasten his glad advent).

The Astan-e Quds Razavi in Mashhad also plans to hold special programs at the Imam Reza (AS) holy shrine on these occasions, starting from Saturday evening, after Maghrib and Isha prayers.

They include recitation of prayers, religious singing, recitation of eulogies, and speeches by a number of senior clerics.

There will also be poetry reading and Tawasheeh performances.
