46,000 Copies of Quran with Malay Translation to Be Donated to Malaysia

TEHRAN (IQNA) – Some 46,000 copies of the Quran with Malay translation are to be distributed among mosques and Islamic non-governmental organizations in Malaysia.

The Saudi king is donating the copies in conjunction with Ramadan this year, said Malaysian Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

He said King Salman is also donating 57 tons of dates for distribution to all Malaysians in conjunction with the holy month.

“I consider the gifts, especially the Quran with Malay translation, as a symbol of a very special friendship between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, especially with Malaysia’s aspiration to uplift the status of the Malay language as an Asean language.
