In a statement, the association condemned the recent desecration of sacred sites by an Israeli reporter.

Gil Tamary of the Israeli regime’s Channel 13 on Monday posted to Twitter video of himself sneaking into Mecca in defiance of a ban on non-Muslims. The move has angered Muslims worldwide.

The Association of Yemen’s Scholars said in the statement that it had followed with great pain and condemnation the audio and photo scenes of the Zionist reporter in the holy sites of Mecca and Medina on the days of Hajj pilgrimage.

It voiced surprise at the silence of Saudi scholars on the issue, calling on them and other Muslim scholars to break their suspicious silence and to fulfill their duty of religion to deny this evil committed by the Saudi rulers by desecrating the Two Holy Mosques when they allowed Jewish rabbis and reporters of their media channels into the holy sites.

The association said such a move was a clear violation of Islamic rules.

It described silence, indifference and lack of decisive stance against desecration of Islamic sanctities as a big crime that would encourage recurrence of such incidents.

The association called on Muslim world scholars to denounce the Saudi regime’s move toward normalization of ties with the Israeli regime.

It also urged Muslim nations to hold protest rallies against the Al Saud regime’s policies.

The political bureau of Yemen’s Ansarullah popular movement also condemned the crime committed by the Saudi regime’s rulers who allow the presence of Jews in Islam’s holy sites while preventing millions of Muslims from attending the Hajj pilgrimage.
