TEHRAN (IQNA) – A Quran expert uses the interpretation of Surah Qaf to draw attention to six sins that lead individuals to Hell.

Six Sins That Lead Disbelievers to Hell

In a Quran interpretation session, Mohammad Ali Ansari pointed to these sins. What follows are excerpts from his remarks:

God Almighty has described all the stages that man goes through in Surah Qaf; from this world to Barzakh and then to the Hereafter.

All the deeds of man will be presented on Resurrection Day and God will issue a ruling. There are six crimes that lead to the entry of man into Hell.

1) “(They will be told,) ‘Throw into hell every persistent disbelievers.’” (verse 24) It does not say every disbeliever but refers to those who are at the peak of disbelief. It refers to those who have been persistent in their disbelief all their lives.

2) This disbelief sometimes arises from enmity. Accordingly, an individual will not accept the truth even after seeing it.

3) Then comes an individual “who is an opponent of good” (verse 25). Such a person strongly prevents good deeds and tries to block the path toward God. When this path is blocked, man cannot achieve the designated aim. Hence, this hampering is an unforgivable crime.

4) The next category is transgressors. What does this mean? It refers to transgressing God’s limits or violating the rights of others.

5) The fifth crime is “suspicion”. It refers to someone who is suspicious and it is accompanied by slander and destruction, not by awareness. The kind of suspicion that seeks to gain the truth is welcomed.

6) And the last category relates to those who worship idols or simply, associate others with God.

After naming these crimes, the Quran says: “Throw him into severe torment.” (verse 26)
