TEHRAN (IQNA) – Muslims in various countries across the West Asia region took to the streets on Tuesday night to slam the latest Israeli crime in targeting a civilian hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Muslims angry at Israeli regime over hitting Gaza hospital

The deadly Israeli air raid on the Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital has shocked the world, fueling anger at the occupying Israeli regime in the West Asia region.

Since the commencement of Israeli airstrikes on Gaza on October 7, tens of thousands of residents have sought refuge in hospitals to escape the ongoing bombardment, seeking both assistance and safety.

The attack claimed the lives of at least 500 Palestinians and was strongly slammed by states across the region.

Meanwhile, people in Iran, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, and Iraq, as well as in the West Bank, convened in the streets just hours after the deadly attack to express their outrage.

Protests have erupted in at least half a dozen cities in Iran following the hospital attack. In the capital city of Tehran, demonstrators marched from Palestine Square to the French Embassy, chanting slogans against the occupation and Western support for it.

Protests are also set to be held in Tehran on Wednesday in condemnation of the event.

In Istanbul, tensions were evident as protesters attempted to access the Israeli consulate, prompting Turkish police to disperse the crowd and secure the area.

In Amman, Jordan, scores of protesters made an attempt to breach the Israeli embassy but were pushed away by the police who used tear gas to disperse the angry crowd.

Back on Tuesday, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei stressed the ongoing Israeli crimes had made Muslim nations “angry”, adding, “If these crimes continue, the Muslims and the resistance forces will become impatient, [and] no one would be able to stop them.”
