The delegation met with the head of Al-Azhar Islamic University’s Center for Development of Foreign Students’ Education Nahla al-Suaidi.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed development of cooperation in Quranic, education and scholarly fields and improvement of the skills of the academy’s students in the field of Arabic language and the Quran.
Al-Suaidi welcomed the delegation and stressed the importance that Al-Azhar attaches to elevation of ties with academic and educational institutes in Egypt and other countries.
She said students from 137 countries are currently studying in different fields at Al-Azhar University.
She also highlighted the role of Al-Azhar in promotion of Islamic values and proper introduction of Islam to the world with the aim of creating civilizational bridges between the East and the West.
