All Muslims Pray for End of Gaza Suffering in Ramadan: Palestinian Preacher

IQNA – The president of the Palestinian Preachers Association said all Muslims fasting the holy month of Ramadan pray for an end to the suffering of the people of Gaza.

Salman Abu Tariq al-Saudi made the remark in a video message to IQNA on the occasion of the start of Ramadan.

Muslims pray to God, the Almighty, to end the suffering and hunger of the people in the Gaza Strip who have been fasting for over five months and give them security, he said.

He also prayed that God will make Ramadan a month of peace, security, victory and blessing for the people of Palestine, especially the Gaza Strip, and the entire Arab and Muslim Ummah.

He hoped that, with the grace of God, the hearts of Muslims will get closer, differences are removed and unity will prevail in the Muslim world.

Elsewhere in the message, al-Saudi prayed that God will punish the enemies of Palestine and the traitors who have been helping them.

Monday marked the beginning of Ramadan, during which Muslims abstain from food and water from sunrise to sunset, in Gaza, where the entire 2.2 million population are unable to meet their food needs.

Israel launched its deadly war on Gaza on October 7, 2023. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 31,045 people have been killed and 72,654 wounded in Israeli attacks. About 72 percent of the victims are children and women.

More than five months of brutal Israeli attacks have also caused extreme hunger among the Gazans.
