Iranian qari Seyed Karim Mousavi

Seyed Karim Mousavi, who is part of Iran’s Quranic Convoy for Hajj this year, made the remark in an interview with IQNA, adding that during the Hajj season, which is among the best of times, top qaris recite the Quran, which is the word of God, for the best Muslims gathering in Mecca from all over the world.

Nowhere else can a Quran reciter find better listeners to his recitation than in Hajj, he stated.

Mousavi, who has been a member of Iran’s Quranic delegation for Hajj three times, said the Quran recitation circles organized by the delegation help to strengthen the country’s bonds with Muslims from other countries and introduce the Islamic Republic to them from political, social and other aspects.

He, meanwhile, stressed the importance of paying more attention to the media coverage of the Quranic programs organized by Iran’s Quranic convoy in Hajj.

Hajj is a religious duty that must be fulfilled at least once by all Muslims who are able to do so. The pilgrimage involves a series of rituals performed over four days in and around Mecca, located in western Saudi Arabia.
