Iranian Qari Highlights Media’s Role in Realization of Hajj Quranic Convoy’s Goals

IQNA – A member of Iran’s Quranic Convoy for Hajj stressed the role that the media can play in helping the materialization of the convoy’s objectives.

 

Masoud Movahedirad said the mission of the Quranic delegation is to demonstrate the Quranic capabilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Hajj pilgrims from around the world. 

If there are media persons accompanying the convoy, it would be helpful in better accomplishment of this goal, he told IQNA.

By covering the Quran recitation circles and Quranic programs of the convoy during the Hajj season, media outlets can more pilgrims and other Muslims in the world benefit from these programs, he added.

Movahedirad, who has joined the convoy for the first time, also said he has been making utmost efforts to optimally fulfil his mission as a member of the delegation, which includes helping the pilgrims get more acquainted with the Book of God.

He stressed the need for the convoy’s members to strengthen their Ikhlas (purity of intention) and spirituality to be able to better fulfil this mission.

Born in 1993, Movahedirad is from Iran’s northeastern city of Neyshabour. He has won many ranks in different Quran competitions and has previously been dispatched to four countries for Quran recitation.

Every year millions of Muslims from around the world gather in the holy city for the annual Hajj.

Iran also sends pilgrims as well as a groups of Quran activists, known as the Noor Hajj Delegation.

The members of the delegation hold Quranic programs, including Quran recitation session for the pilgrims in the holy cities of Mecca and Medina.
