The mass protest has been held weekly since October last year, when the Israeli regime unleashed its brutal attack against the besieged Gaza Strip. The Israeli aggression have so far claimed lives of more than 40,000 Palestinians, mostly women and children.

Protestors on Friday “denounced the ongoing crimes of the Zionist enemy entity and its desecration of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Zionist soldiers' tearing of copies of the Holy Quran, in a mosque in the Gaza Strip,” Yemen’s Saba News Agency reported.

Participants “stressed that the Israeli enemy crosses all red lines and flouts all international norms and laws,” it added.

The protest comes as footage released last Friday showed soldiers desecrating copies of the Holy Quran in a mosque in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Qatari news channel Al Jazeera said it obtained the footage from video taken by Israeli soldiers and drones that were found in Gaza. The footage showed Israeli soldiers breaking into the Bani Saleh Mosque in the northern Gaza Strip and then tearing up and burning copies of the Quran inside the mosque.

Yemeni protestors also slammed the “puppet Arab regimes” and silence of Muslim nations over Quran desecration by Israeli soldiers, repeated incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the provocative Israeli statement about building a synagogue in Islam’s third-holiest site.

Yemeni protesters reaffirmed their ongoing support for the Palestinian people and their resistance efforts. They expressed full backing for actions responding to the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy and emphasized their readiness to confront American and Israeli aggression, as well as any conspiracies targeting the nation and its holy sites.
