US Presence Root of Regional Issues, Ayatollah Khamenei Says
“The root of problems in the region is the presence of parties like America and some European states that falsely claim to advocate for peace,” Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Wednesday.
He made the remarks in a meeting with a host of elites in the Iranian capital.
“If they remove their harmful influence from this region, without a doubt, these conflicts, wars, and confrontations will completely disappear,” he said, adding, “The countries of the region can manage themselves, govern their region, and live together in peace, health, and well-being.”
"I have some remarks regarding the issues of Lebanon and matters related to this great and dear martyr, which I will share in the near future, God willing," Ayatollah Khamenei said, referring to Sayed Hassan Nasrallah, secretary-general of Hezbollah, who was assassinated on Friday in an Israeli strike on Beirut.

"I will soon speak about the issues of Gaza and Lebanon," added the Leader.
The meeting comes a day after the Iranian armed forces launched Operation True Promise II, targeting Israeli military and security positions in response to the Israeli assassination of Hamas chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah leader Nasrallah, and IRGC commander Abbas Nilforoushan.
