Imam Reza Shrine Hosts Extensive Quranic Programs, Engages Millions of Visitors

IQNA – The Imam Reza (AS) shrine has reported significant engagement in its Quranic programs during the first six months of this year (March-September 2024).

 

Mohammad Moqumi, head of Dar-ol-Quran at the holy shrine, said that over 200,000 individuals participated in workshops focused on correcting prayer recitation and interpreting Quranic verses and Hadiths in the mentioned period.

Additionally, 24,692 visitors took part in 12,759 Khatm Quran plans, while 33,242 children benefited from the shrine's Quranic workshops, he added.

Moqumi highlighted the organization of two prestigious Adhan workshops featuring renowned Quranic and musical experts. More than 270 Quran recitation sessions were held for the general public, including a special session for women named "Umm Abiha."

During Ramadan, 1,318,000 people attended the shrine's Quranic recitation ceremonies, and over 90 sessions were dedicated to children and teenagers, he added.

Live Quran recitations and Adhan were performed 1,248 times at the prescribed times of dawn, noon, and sunset, he said, adding that there were 582 sessions dedicated to Quranic teachings during Adhan, and 310 pages of the Quran were recited in a structured manner after the afternoon and evening prayers.

The shrine's Quranic programs were also broadcast extensively, with over 16,000 hours of live Quranic content aired on national media during Ramadan, according to the official.
