At the closing ceremony held Tuesday at the School for Arabic Studies (SAS), the governor, represented by his deputy, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, reaffirmed his administration’s strong commitment to promoting Quranic education in Kano State.
Governor Yusuf expressed deep gratitude to the competition’s organizing committee, emphasizing the importance of Quranic recitation in addressing societal challenges, including insecurity and economic difficulties, Blueprint reported on Tuesday.

He highlighted the role of the Quran in providing solutions to the nation's issues and reiterated the state government's efforts to strengthen Quranic studies.
As part of ongoing initiatives to enhance Islamic education, Governor Yusuf also announced plans for a collaboration with a prominent Sudanese Islamic university and the Aminu Kano College of Islamic and Legal Studies (AKCILS) to offer degree programs in Quranic studies.
