It was organized on January 24-26 by the Islamic Committee of the province to promote peaceful coexistence in a multicultural society and to honor the message of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
The opening ceremony on Friday was attended by prominent officials, including Prasan Serichorn, advisor to the Sheikh al-Islam of Thailand, as well as representatives from various provinces of the country, such as Surat Thani, Ranong, Krabi, Phang Nga, Trang, and Satun.
Komon Domlak, the head of the Islamic Committee of Phuket, emphasized in his speech that the event was organized to honor the character of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and to promote unity in a diverse and multicultural community.
Sirichorn, the representative of the Sheikh al-Islam, said in his speech that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is an unparalleled role model for humanity, whom we should follow in all aspects of personal and social life, including governance, community management, and family leadership.
He also referenced the governance style of the Prophet (PBUH) in Medina, presenting it as a model for building a united and diverse society based on religious freedoms and the strengthening of the Muslim community.
