"The Quran calls on Muslims to unite as a single community and hold firmly to the divine rope to prevent division," Pezeshkian wrote in the message that was read in the closing ceremony of the contest in Mashhad on Friday.
"Undoubtedly, many of the challenges facing the Islamic world today stem from neglecting these teachings, leading to division and paving the way for enemies to exploit these divisions."

The president emphasized that the Quran transcends race, class, and sectarian differences, guiding humanity toward moral and spiritual perfection. "Amid the turmoil of today's world, the Quran provides a firm foundation of hope, offering a path to liberation from ignorance, oppression, and inequality," he said.
He also warned against global efforts to distort the image of Islam. "Global imperialism is using various media platforms to spread Islamophobia and portray the Quran as a threat to humanity," he noted. "However, thanks to the dedication of Quranic scholars and reciters—who serve as global messengers of its teachings—such schemes will fail."
Pezeshkian expressed gratitude to participants and organizers of the international competition, describing them as key contributors to spreading the Quran’s message of unity and understanding.

The 41st edition of Iran’s International Quran Competitions, which concluded on Friday, brought together 57 male and female qaris from 27 countries to the northeastern Iranian city. The event, one of the oldest Quranic competitions in the Muslim world, featured competitions in recitation and memorization of the Quran.
