IQNA – The Egyptian satellite network Iqraa is rebroadcasting a special program titled “From the Quran to Science” during the month of Ramadan.

It is narrated by the late Sheikh Mohamed Mutawalli al-Sharawi, a renowned Egyptian Quran interpreter.

The program is broadcast every day in Ramadan at 6:45 PM Mecca time on Iqraa satellite channel.

In each episode, the late al-Sharawi explains the scientific miracles of the Quran.

Each episode lasts 40 minutes and discusses discoveries in modern science that are referenced in the Holy Quran.

In this program, the scholar and Quran interpreter provides a detailed explanation of the scientific miracles of the Quran in simple language, combining interpretation with scientific evidence.

Sharawi was born on April 5, 1911, in the village of Dakados, Egypt. At the age of 11, he memorized the entire Quran.

The scholar served as Egyptian minister of Awqaf for some time. He was one of Egypt’s most popular and successful Islamic preachers, and one of the most-prominent symbols of popular Egyptian culture in the 1970s, 80s and 90s.

He died on June 17, 1998, at the age of 87.
