IQNA – People in Tunisia held rallies in the capital Tunis and other cities on Friday, calling for the criminalization of normalizing ties with the Zionist regime.

The Joint Action Coordinating Committee for Palestine in Tunisia organized the demonstrations under the title of “Tunisia Normalization Crime Day”.

The demonstration in Tunis started from the Bab al-Khazra Square and turned into a protest rally in front of the parliament in the district of Bardo.

Other Tunisian cities, including Gafsa, Gabes and Tataouine, also witnessed similar rallies.

The demonstrators chanted slogans calling for normalization of ties with the Zionist regime to be criminalized in Tunisia.

They also demanded the expulsion of the US ambassador to Tunisia, an end to military and security ties with Washington, and boycotting companies that support the Israeli occupation.

The rallies came as the Israeli regime continues its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip an according to the Economist, the regime seeks the complete destruction of Gaza.
