It is carrying thousands of tons of food and relief supplies and a thousand equipped tents to provide shelter for Palestinian families, according to el-Balad news.
The convoy was sent to the Gaza Strip by Sheikh Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Sheikh of Al-Azhar and head of the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity, in line with the international campaign “Help Gaza”.
Since the beginning of the Israeli regime’s war on Gaza, 11 such aid convoys have been dispatched to the besieged strip by the Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity.
The aid sent includes essential medicines and medical supplies, powdered milk and hygiene products, clothing, blankets, dry and canned food, and drinking water, with the aim of providing a decent livelihood for the most vulnerable segments of the Gaza Strip.
The Egyptian House of Zakat and Charity announced that the new convoy represents the center’s mission to support just human issues and ideals, especially the Palestinian issue, and to stand by those affected by the war.
It has set off for Gaza in line with the activities of Al-Azhar’s global campaign with the slogan “Do jihad with your wealth and support Palestine”, the center said.

The center emphasized that this campaign has been widely welcomed by people and active institutions in more than 80 countries around the world who had participated in previous convoys and trust the humanitarian support provided by the center.
The Israeli regime’s siege has created a tragic situation in Gaza due to lack of food, medicine and other necessary supplies.
