Subhi Fouad, the Christian principal of the Martyr Abdul Aleem Ali Musa School of said Quran memorizers who participated in Quran memorization programs during the summer holidays will be honored during a ceremony that will be held at the school in the second week of the new school year.

Coordination is underway with educational officials to determine the day of ceremony, which will be held with the participation of Ahmed Ezzat, director general of the Bani Suef Education Department, and other educational and religious officials, he noted.

Fouad always strives to hold celebrations honoring the Quran memorizers with the aim of strengthening coexistence and interaction between Egyptian Muslims and Christians, and distributes sweets among students on the birthday of the Prophet (PBUH).

Earlier this month, Younes Adib, a Christian priest of the Catholic Church in the city of Hurghada in the Red Sea Governorate of Egypt, distributed sweets among Muslims on the occasion of the birthday of the Prophet (PBUH).

The Catholic priest said it is a sign of interaction and love in a single land and “an atmosphere of empathy between our brothers in our homeland and country.”
