Algiers Grand Mosque Dar-ol-Quran to Admit PhD Students
Mohamed al-Maamoun al-Qasimi al-Hosni said the activities of this mosque are currently focused on cooperating with scientific centers in Arab, Islamic and African countries in order to enhance the mosque’s position in the world scientific and religious arena.
He added that the Dar-ol-Quran is preparing to accept the first group of international PhD students.
The Grand Mosque of Algiers is committed to carrying out a comprehensive civilizational mission and, according to the vision announced by Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the occasion of the inauguration of this great religious building, will act as a fortress for religious authority, Al-Qasimi stated.
He added that so far, many achievements have been made through institutions and organizations affiliated with the Grand Mosque of Algiers, and these projects are being pursued in line with the cultural mission that the mosque seeks to accomplish.
It is worth noting that the Dar-ol-Quran is one of the departments of the Grand Mosque of Algiers and one of the organizations integrated into this mosque, which has put religious and non-religious education on the agenda.
This Dar-ol-Quran is a higher education school in the field of Islamic and religious sciences and pursues the training of elite students at the doctoral level in four academic semesters.
